My New Blog

I know I haven’t posted here in a really long time, I apologize. I don’t have a computer anymore, I’m doing everything on my iPad, and a while back the Blogger app started crashing every time I tried to use it. They don’t seem to be updating it anymore either. I can post text via the website through my web browser, but I can’t upload photos that way, which makes it pretty useless for me.

Which gets us to the point of this post: I am starting up a new blog! I will not be posting on this one anymore, although I’m going to leave it up for the moment. My new blog is primarily going to be about the various things I’m working on - illustrations, dolls, knitting, weaving etc... I will also be sharing photos, videos and stories with the inspiration behind my work. So, if you’re interested, head over to my new blog , check it out, and follow it if you’d like :) I don’t have much on there yet, because I literally just started setting it up today. But I’ve got some pretty special new projects planned for the coming year, and lots of neat things to share along with. So feel free to follow me there if you are interested. Thank you all for your interest and support. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and many blessings in 2018!

Magical Midnight Mushroom Beaded Pendant, and Other Random News

I just realized that I never posted about the newest pendant in my Etsy shop! This one is made entirely of Japanese glass seed beads and organic cotton thread. I call it the Magical Midnight Mushroom. It was inspired by the fly agaric mushroom, widely portrayed in folklore and fairy tales. Baba Yaga is often shown with them, and they are frequently used in illustrations of Alice, and just magically forest scenes. They are pretty cool. If you look closely, my little mushroom has a face on both sides ^_^ So here is the pendant, plus some little mushrooms that were growing in our yard - two areas had little fairy rings growing! Unfortunately, we had to mow the lawn, and now they are gone :(

In other news, I got my Level 2 Crystal Reiki attunement earlier this month, which was pretty cool. One more to go! I'll be getting it sometime in July, most likely. Also, I took Doreen Virtue's Fairyologist course, which was really fun!! It was my birthday present to myself. And I am now a certified Fairyologist:

I have been working on the dress for my Amethyst Faerie doll, she should be done in a week or so if all goes well. Here are some recent progress pics:

The weather has been super hot here, and off and on the air quality hasn't been so good either, so I've been pretty much stuck in the house, and not feeling well. But, as you can see, I've had a lot to do anyways, which I am thankful for!

Another piece of good news is that I will be drawing soon! Not digital illustration, which I have been doing the past few years because of health problems, but actual drawing on papyrus! I've missed it so much, but I think I should be okay with the materials I got, and I'm really excited! Below are the beautiful bronze calligraphy pens I got, along with an assortment of nibs.

And finally, Ringo just wants to wish you all a happy summer!

Copper Beaded Dream Catcher Pendant

This beautiful dream catcher pendant (or ornament, or wall hanging) in shades of copper and gold, is now available in my Etsy shop. The crystals used in this piece are Malachite and Chrysoprase,  both are good for dispelling nightmares.

Art vs. Artist

This is something that has been going around Instagram and Twitter lately, to see if there is really any resemblance between an artist and their art. So, I'll let you all be the judge, does my art look like me?

Purple Beaded Dream Catcher Pendant

I now have one purple beaded dream catcher pendant available in my Etsy shop! It is made of pale purple, royal purple & silver Japanese glass seed beads, organic cotton thread, and natural Amethyst, Rose Quartz and White Moonstone beads - these crystals are known to prevent nightmares and promote restful sleep.

In addition to wearing it as a pendant, it would also make a Great Wall hanging or Christmas tree ornament.

A little about dream catchers: According to some traditional Native American beliefs, the night air is full of dreams, some good, some bad. The bad dreams get caught in the web, and good dreams pass through the hole in the center. The good dreams are then guided down the feathers to dreamer below. In the morning when the sun comes up, the bad dreams that are caught in the web are destroyed by the light.

You can also special order this piece in your choice of colors and crystals. Just send me a private message on Etsy and let me know what you'd like:)

And here it is:

In the last photo there are two dream catchers. The one on the right is the one for sale, the one on the left is my prototype, and I'm keeping it for myself :)

That's all for now. Ringo & I wish you all a wonderful weekend! ~

Two New Designs in Progress...

I've been working on 2 new pendant designs. The photos below are of my prototypes, which I will keep, but if they turn out well I will be making another one for my Etsy shop ^_^

The first design is a dream catcher! This one is turning out really well, and in fact, I am already working on the second one for shop, & will post it here when it's available  (probably later today or tomorrow)...

And my second new design is a little more whimsical - a mermaid! She looks a little funny at the moment, but I'm hoping when she's all finished she will be cute :) More pics of her to come...
