Fabric!

I don't normally post about new types of products available in my stores, mainly because there are too many of them! But today I am going to, because it's something I'm really excited about: fabric!

My Zazzle store now has a line of customizable fabrics, with all my illustrations and photos on it ^_^ There are 7 fabric types to choose from (different weaves of cotton, linen and polyester). And, if you like a particular image, but aren't crazy about the background color, need the print to be larger or smaller, or just want to change the way the image is tiled, you can chan change all these things by clicking the "customize it" button on the product page. The fabrics are available by the yard or as fat quarters. You can also order swatches. You can view my fabrics by going to the Craft Supplies department in my store.

I haven't tried any of the fabrics yet, this is a very new product. But I'm hoping to try some of the quilting cotton in the near future, it looks like it'll be pretty nice...

WIP: Deer Woman Beaded Art Doll

I have been working on a new beaded doll recently. She is inspired by Deer Woman - in Native American folklore, Deer Woman is a spirit creature who lives in the forest. She sometimes appears as a beautiful young woman who has deer hooves instead of feet (which was kind of tricky to make, but I think they turned out okay). I will write more about her in the future, when the doll is complete ^_^ For now, I just want to share a few photos of my Suksi Kwe (Deer Woman, in Potowatomi language):

Twitter

I finally broke down and got a Twitter account. It's for my art and doll-making. Ringo will most likely get on there too, that's his way ;P So if anybody wants to follow me, you can do so here.

New Illustration: The Firebird

In Slavic folklore, the Firebird is a magical bird from a faraway land, usually depicted as a small, fire-colored peacock. It can bring blessing or doom to its captor. It glows, and a single feather from the firebird's tail can illuminate an entire room.

This illustration started out as a test for a new art app I was trying. I am quite happy with the results, and so I decided to share it with everyone ^_^

It is now available on a wide variety of products in my stores at  ZazzleCafe PressRed Bubble, and my deviantArt Print shop.

Kisa's New Bead Wig

I made this wig for Kisa a while ago, but didn't get a picture of it until now. I really love the way she looks in it!

Jin Yan

Today my beautiful new doll from JRDolls arrived! I named her Jin Yan (金燕), which means Golden Swallow in Chinese. ^_^ Here are a few photos of her:

Esmeralda

I finished Esmeralda on Christmas Eve! I would've posted photos earlier, but my camera was messed up. Anyways, for those of you who didn't see the first post about her, Esmeralda is a flower faerie. She is a BJD, with 13 points of articulation. She is made of Japanese glass seed beads, organic cotton thread & fiber fill, and Swarovski Pearl joints. She is approximately 9 inches tall. She is my first BJD, and I am very happy with her ^_^ Here are a few photos of her now that she's dressed:
