I just realized that I never posted about the newest pendant in my
Etsy shop! This one is made entirely of Japanese glass seed beads and organic cotton thread. I call it the Magical Midnight Mushroom. It was inspired by the fly agaric mushroom, widely portrayed in folklore and fairy tales. Baba Yaga is often shown with them, and they are frequently used in illustrations of Alice, and just magically forest scenes. They are pretty cool. If you look closely, my little mushroom has a face on both sides ^_^ So here is the pendant, plus some little mushrooms that were growing in our yard - two areas had little fairy rings growing! Unfortunately, we had to mow the lawn, and now they are gone :(
In other news, I got my Level 2 Crystal Reiki attunement earlier this month, which was pretty cool. One more to go! I'll be getting it sometime in July, most likely. Also, I took Doreen Virtue's Fairyologist course, which was really fun!! It was my birthday present to myself. And I am now a certified Fairyologist:
I have been working on the dress for my Amethyst Faerie doll, she should be done in a week or so if all goes well. Here are some recent progress pics:
The weather has been super hot here, and off and on the air quality hasn't been so good either, so I've been pretty much stuck in the house, and not feeling well. But, as you can see, I've had a lot to do anyways, which I am thankful for!
Another piece of good news is that I will be drawing soon! Not digital illustration, which I have been doing the past few years because of health problems, but actual drawing on papyrus! I've missed it so much, but I think I should be okay with the materials I got, and I'm really excited! Below are the beautiful bronze calligraphy pens I got, along with an assortment of nibs.
