This illustration was inspired by a Hawaiian travel poster my mom found in a book a while back, I thought it was really cool, and she really liked it. So I decided to draw my own version for her ^-^ This is the first illustration I ever did using minerals on papyrus.

"The Golden Hair" is a Russian fairy tale about a girl whose father, Poloz, owns all the gold in the world, and controls it. Her hair is actually made of gold, and is so heavy that she is rooted to the ground with it. The story is about her, and the man who loves her, and how they finally manage to outwit her father so that they can be together. It's a good story! 

For this illustration I actually made my own paint out of minerals, the paper is papyrus. So it is all natural ^-^

New Illustration: Princess TaiPing

Princess Taiping, daughter of Tang Dynasty Emperor Gaozong, twice suppressed mutinies inside the imperial court at critical times. Her name means "Princess of Peace". You can read more about her on Wikipedia ^-^ The costume is based on one I have for my dolls.
